Watch My Back is designed with your privacy as a top priority. We believe your posture monitoring should be completely private and under your control.
Watch My Back does NOT collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- ❌ No personal information (names, emails, phone numbers)
- ❌ No account creation or login required
- ❌ No camera footage or images sent to servers
- ❌ No analytics or tracking data
- ❌ No location data
- ❌ No usage statistics sent externally
- ❌ No third-party tracking or advertising
How the App Works Locally
All processing happens entirely on your device:
Camera Usage
- Real-time Processing Only: Your camera is used exclusively for on-device pose detection
- No Recording: Camera footage is analyzed in real-time and immediately discarded
- No Storage: No images or videos are ever saved
- No Transmission: Camera data never leaves your device
Local Data Storage
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Posture Preferences: Your calibrated good posture settings
- Alert Settings: Your choice of sound effects or voice alerts
- Session History: Optional tracking of your monitoring sessions (stored locally)
- App Settings: Volume, sensitivity, and other user preferences
All this data remains on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.
Permissions Required
- Camera Access: Required for pose detection to monitor your posture
- Used only while the app is active
- All processing happens on-device
- No images are saved or transmitted
Third-Party Services
Watch My Back uses only the following Apple services:
- Apple App Store: For app distribution (managed by Apple)
- iOS Vision Framework: Apple’s on-device pose detection (runs locally, no data leaves your device)
We do not use any other third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
Data Security
- On-Device Only: All data remains on your device
- No Servers: We don’t operate any servers that store your data
- No Accounts: No need to create accounts or share credentials
- iOS Protection: Your data is protected by iOS’s built-in security features
Children’s Privacy
Watch My Back does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The app can be used by people of all ages without privacy concerns.
Your Control
- Delete Anytime: All data is deleted when you uninstall the app
- Camera Control: You can revoke camera access in iOS Settings at any time
- No Lock-In: No accounts mean nothing to delete or export
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the app and on our website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
